When one door closes another door opens…

In a recent letter to our many supporters, we used the quote, “When one door closes another door opens…” a quote most frequently attributed to Alexander Graham Bell. The rest of the quote by the great inventor is “…but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the ones which open for us.” In the letter, however, we credited the quote to another famous inventor and statesman--Benjamin Franklin! Thank you for visiting our website for the correct answer and the entire quote. Here’s another slightly different quote attributed to a great friend of Alexander Graham Bell—Helen Keller. “When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been.” Please check us out on Facebook at www.facebook.com/chesterwye.org/.  Please join us on April 9th for the 2022 Annual Easter Egg Hunt at ChesterWye Center!
