As we come to the close of another year, I want to take a moment to reflect on how far we have come together. This year has been a time of growth, strengthening our foundation, and expanding the quality of support we provide to the individuals and families who depend on us.
Our mission remains at the center of everything we do— supporting people with developmental disabilities through dignity, choice, and opportunity. Every advancement we’ve made this year is a direct result of the dedication of our Direct Support Professionals (DSP), administrative staff, the trust of the people we support, and the ongoing involvement of families, partners, and our community.
My team and I strengthened Chesterwye Center’s residential and day services by investing in improving physical space, vehicles, systems, expanded staff training and leadership development, and continued to build a culture where excellence and compassion must go hand-in-hand. Most importantly, we listened—to the people we support, their support teams, and to the community. Their voices shaped our priorities and guided our decisions throughout the year.
As we look toward 2026, we are committed to building on this momentum. Our goals include enhancing service outcomes, expanding opportunities for community engagement, improving communication across programs, and continuing to invest in the DSP workforce. Together, we will continue shaping a strong, forward-looking organization prepared to meet the needs of today and tomorrow.
Thank you to each member of our staff for showing up with heart and purpose. Thank you to our families for your partnership and trust. And thank you to our community for believing in the work we do every day.
I am proud of what we accomplished this year and excited for the future ahead. Wishing everyone a safe, warm, and joyful holiday season — and a strong start to the new year.
