Masked Wranglers Mobilize Against COVID-19

In the early days of the pandemic, a new volunteer effort emerged on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, to provide masks for people facing high health risks from COVID-19. Now, these same volunteers—the Masked Wranglers—have mobilized to sew washable cloth isolation gowns that meet the standards of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and are in high demand by hospice, health departments and detention centers. At the same time, the Masked Wranglers continue to sew masks, now in three layers, of which one layer is a Spun-bond polypropylene interlining.

You can help the Masked Wranglers keep vulnerable people safe during the COVID-19 crisis, by contributing items from the list below. The finished gowns and masks will be donated to programs throughout nine Eastern Shore counties.

** Used 100% cotton sheets and pillowcases, —or—
** Cotton/polyester blend of sheets and pillowcases
NOTE: Flannel is not an appropriate material for these supplies.

If you have items to donate, please send an email to A driver will pick up your donation at your doorstep.
